Orthodontics

Orthodontics (braces), the science and art of straightening teeth and correcting jaw or bite (occlusion) discrepancies is an integral part of any healthy and complete dental care plan. An orthodontic evaluation is provided for your child at every routine visit allowing for continual monitoring of your child’s growth and dental development, including the development of their smile. Should orthodontic treatment become necessary, one of our pediatric dentists will consult with you regarding the orthodontic concern, reason for orthodontic intervention and the timing of orthodontic treatment for your child.

We are experts in evaluating the
growth and development of your child.

WHEN SHOULD MY CHILD
SEE AN ORTHODONTIST?

Most patients will undergo orthodontic treatment once all their permanent teeth erupt. However, some patients will benefit from earlier orthodontic treatment when baby teeth may still be present. The goal is always to make orthodontic treatment as simple as possible. And early orthodontic intervention, when needed, is highly effective at minimizing and simplifying future orthodontic needs.

HOW WILL I KNOW IF MY CHILD
NEEDS BRACES?

Our orthodontist provides limited and comprehensive orthodontic care for all ages at our Maitland location. Limited orthodontic care is provided for our younger patients by our pediatric dentists at our Maitland and St. Cloud locations. The best way to know when your child is ready for braces is to stay up to date with routine care appointments.
